These creature studies were created during my time as Technologist in Residence at the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh. They were part of a larger exploration of radial symmetry, which was a central theme of the residency.
The original illustration was created with Adobe Illustrator. From there, I exported curves for a subset of the creatures and took them into Maya to be extruded into three dimensions. I then took the resulting models into Substance Painter to add color and detail, created high quality renders in Adobe Dimensions and, finally, assembled the final compositions using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
